OSX @ key stopped working

#1

Hi @ll,

I use Sublime Text Build 3126 on macOS Sierra and I have been using this version since quite some time. Now out of sudden while working in Sublime text my @ key stopped working.

I have no idea why.

I checked on the console with sublime.log_input(True) & sublime.log_commands(True) and it shows:
key evt: alt+l
but it just doesn’t print the @ sign.

Any idea?

Best,
Kai

what is the layout of your keyboard?

German keyboard. The funny thing is it stopped to work out of a sudden. Never had problems like this before and if I use TextEdit for example it works as intended.

hmm, no idea why it would suddenly stop working, but ST has known issues with some keyboard layouts:

Thank you for the link also it doesn’t help me a lot right now.

This is really weird. When I start up Sublime Text in a clean state, means I remove the data folder the key works again.

But this would mean to reconfigure sublime again from scratch which is going to be a pain…

probably you’ve installed a plugin recently (or one has been updated) that has decided to use your alt+l for a keybinding.

https://packagecontrol.io/packages/FindKeyConflicts may help you identify which one
