Opening folders in a new window, but not files

#1

Hey, I’m trying to make Sublime behave a little more like TextMate in one regard. Here’s what I’d like:

  1. When I drag a folder onto Sublime, I’d like to it open in its own window (extra credit for noticing that it’s a subfolder of an already open folder window), rather than being added to the sidebar of an existing window
  2. When I drag a file onto Sublime, I’d like it to open according to my prefs (so add it to an already open window, I guess – it would be nice if there were some notion of a ‘folder window’ and a ‘file window’ to know which one to add it to). If the file is in a folder which is already open in a ‘folder window’, the file should be opened in that window.

That’s kind of it. Generally I drag a folder onto Sublime in order to perform operations on the files in that folder. The current behavior adds all kinds of extra steps to the process of searching/replacing. Is there already some way of managing this behavior? I haven’t found one.

Cheers, thanks - Jeremy
