No option flash for "Goto definition" when right click on function, whose file is not open

No option flash for “Goto Definition” when right click on function, whose file is not open. I am using Sublime Text - Dev channel Build 3164.

I only see ‘Goto Definition’ option when the function’s definition file is already open.

I have only installed the Sublime text, and didn’t install any external package yet. I am using Sublime for Javascript and PHP mostly.

How can I fix this issue? I am using Ubuntu 14.04.

open the folder in which the function resides, i.e. using the Project menu -> Add folder to project

I am already doing this. All my projects are opened using “Project menu -> Add folder to project” Option
