Is there any way to jump back an entire file in your navigation history with one command? I know about "jump back" Alt+-, but I'm looking for something that does the equivalent but does it one file at a time.

is alt+tab and alt + shift + tab what you are looking for?
I'm on windows, alt+tab/alt+shift+tab jumps between applications (nothing to do with sublime text)...
On OSX/ST3 it's
ctrl+tab goes back a whole file in navigation history like I'm expecting (thanks for the tip), but ctrl+shift+tab doesn't seem to go forward...its changing files, but I'm not sure what strategy it is following...
