I tend to keep my list of plug-ins to a minimum as it can be difficult to track down problems with many of them and they can make Sublime Text slow.
Lately, I even have some neat plug-ins that do not work well with the rest of them.
So, what came to mind was to install Sublime Text multiple times on the same machine, with a different set of plug-ins each.
With a quick search I couldn’t find anyone doing that already so I am also interested about the Why? and Why not?
For a Linux system I don’t see any advantage of a regular installation over a portable one. I found this plug-in to selectively synchronize what every instance should have in common, like key-bindings and snippets.
Using portable installations wouldn’t allow me to use multiple instances simultaneously but I don’t think it would be bothersome.
My personal license is bound to the user so multiple installations on the same OS should be fine.
I am looking for comments, thoughts on this,
thanks
