How to use one click to open file instead of double clicks?

It doesn’t need to be like this.
Editing the preview will open the file and assign it a tab.

the point is i want to open the file with one click instead of double clicking, sometimes i want to open files for reference so double clicking everything become tedious.

I agree with you, it looks basic to implement this function, its boring to click twice

I for one quite like the way it works currently, i.e. preview until you start editing or double click to fully open.
