How to see what sheet_container_control changes?

#1

sheet_container_control is supposed to change the styling of an empty ST window. I am unable to open the so-called empty window to see the change.

Here is the closest I can get:

And the view does not change depending on the sheet_container_control rule.

I used to see it in some edge-case situation.

Ex with ST-3113:

  1. Set 2 views side-by-side.
  2. Close all files.
  3. Set focus to the first view.
  4. Close Sublime.
  5. Reopen Sublime and notice that the second view didn’t initialize its background with the color scheme’s background, and instead you can see the sheet container’s color.

But with ST-3118, I can’t reproduce this issue so idk. But it really isn’t important.

Note: In doing so I just noticed that we can’t close a window with Ctrl+W when we have more than one view in it, even though there are no files opened. :^(

If I follow your instructions, the window does not come back when I reopen ST. So, it seems that this property is redundant in ST-3118.

The fact that we cannot close an empty window with ctrl-w is quite unfortunate. Was it also the case it previous versions? Maybe report this as a bug/enhancement?
