The menu options are also greyed out.

This is not the case out of the box. Do you have any error messages in the console? Failing that, sublimetext.com/docs/3/revert.html should fix it.

Thanks… that worked. I reverted and individually added all my installed packages, settings, commands and snippets and nothing brought back that problem. Very strange.
