Anyone having high-CPU issue with build 3104?

#1

Using Sublime 3 beta on OSX 10.11.3. 16GB RAM Macbook pro 2014.

Sublime offered this morning to upgrade to 3104, which I accepted.

Since then, Activity Monitor shows 2 or 3 Sublime Text processes:

  • One with CPU between 0% and 5% (what I used to have)
  • One or two processes with CPU constantly between 60% and 120% (often around 95%).

Sometimes those two additional processes go away for a few seconds and then show up again.

I’ve restarted Sublime a few times, it does not change anything.

Is anyone experiencing the same issue?

I’ll try downgrading to build 3103 to see if it helps. I did not notice any CPU problem until this upgrade to 3104.

Downgraded to 3103. I still see those 3 process, two of them at CPU oscillating between 5 and 35%.

So it’s better than with 3104 where they were oscillating between 60% and 120%. And where slowing down significantly my computer.

I also realized I had many projects opened, some with many files opened. I did some cleanup to only keep 2 projects open and a dozen of files opened in each. Those 2 extra processed have now disappeared completely.

So I guess it’s not a good idea to keep too many projects opened. Although build 3104 seems to require more CPU than build 3103 when too many projects are opened.

Hope this helps!

I posted in the 3104 thread providing some info and asking some questions.
